When I am not on the go and in my home country the Netherlands, I love to stroll along the canals of my favourite city. Amsterdam never stops changing. Everytime I discover something new, but still I always feel the same tranquility somehow. Amsterdam is a metropolis but for those who know it well, it is a small village at the same time. Modern skyscrapers and medieval canal warehouses, people from everywhere, food from all corners of the world. Amsterdam is a city full of contrasts and that is exactly what makes it so special and such a beautiful and dynamic place to be. It’s no coincidence that it’s this vision of bringing contrasts together to end up with something special; the brand Milla Amsterdam expresses in her collections. I recently discovered this fast upcoming brand which has its roots in the heart of Amsterdam since 2014. What I really like about the designs of this brand is that they indeed combine contrasts like for example femininity and toughness in an elegant way, for day and night.
So for girls like me, always on the road but still constantly on the look out for a nevertheless elegant look, Milla Amsterdam has a great collection.
We shot this knitwear look right in downtown Amsterdam along the canals. I love some knitwear for the spring, because it’s so nice for that in between weather (even this is a contrast in Amsterdam, one moment it rains, the next moment the sun shines). Especially when it’s in this beautiful Peche colour. Peche is one of my favourite colours because apart from that it looks beautiful when you wear it as a full one colour ensemble, it’s also easy to combine with basic black, white, blue and denim.
